MKV to AVI Converter is a very useful tool for converting MKV video files into AVI video file format. It is also capable of converting other video formats like MPEG, MPG, WMV, VCD, DAT and ASF format to AVI format. This program can also be useful for various other purposes like video splitting, editing and playing if the MKV codec is installed along with it. It also converts subtitles provided with an MKV file to AVI. It is supported on all Windows family operating systems.
It has many audio and video codecs available which can be configured for easy conversion. User can also change the frame size and frame rate of a video. By changing audio and video codecs, user can change the size of the resulting file and can improve its quality. When the user inputs a video file, a window automatically appears offering a preview, so that the user can check if he has selected the correct file. A slider is given, which is useful for forwarding purposes or for selecting start and end point to process only a part of the clip.
